Enable Banking partners with A-Tono to simplify business finance in Italy

Rockit community member Enable Banking, a leading provider of open banking connectivity and account-to-account payments infrastructure, has announced a strategic partnership with A-Tono, an Italian company known for handling over two million payments per month.

A-Tono’s digital account service DropPay is reshaping Italian business banking by helping entrepreneurs, companies, and consumers manage their finances faster, simpler, and with greater transparency. Through this partnership, DropPay users can now access Account Information Services (AIS) and Payment Initiation Services (PIS) directly from the app — allowing them to view and manage multi-bank balances, initiate instant account top-ups, and save valuable time without switching between platforms.

The collaboration is part of A-Tono’s broader mission to make business finance management more intuitive and accessible. Upcoming features will expand tools for employee expense cards, real-time budget tracking, and centralised company spending — all supported by A-Tono’s trusted, Italy-regulated payment institution.

Security and compliance played a key role in this partnership. Enable Banking’s PSD2-licensed infrastructure connects to more than 2,500 European banks across 29 countries, ensuring secure, API-based access to account data and payments. Both companies share a commitment to PSD2 and GDPR compliance, safeguarding user data across all integrations and maintaining the highest standards of reliability.
